We are a family with a really strange last name (Notgrass is spelled just like it sounds). But that hasn't stopped us from developing Bible-based, easy-to-use homeschool curriculum that helps parents like you teach the heart, soul, and mind of your child. Watch this video for a quick introduction.
Our faith in Christ guides what we write; all of our resources have a Biblical foundation. Our goal is to help you as a homeschooling parent teach the heart, soul, and mind of your child. You are doing something important. You are sharing knowledge and wisdom and life with your child. This journey is amazing and exciting and sometimes scary and overwhelming. If you are just getting started with homeschooling, you may feel confused by all the options available to you. If you have been homeschooling for a while, you may need some encouragement to stay the course. Whatever your situation, remember that God gave your children to you. He loves them even more than you do, and he entrusted their training to you.
We are proud of you for making this choice, and we believe that you can be successful. Why are we so confident? Because we believe in God who daily provides everything we need to do what He asks us to do. You are on a wonderful adventure. Don’t forget to enjoy the ride!
We offer a variety of curriculum, unit studies, and other resources. You can use the search bar at the top of the page, look at what we offer for high school or K-8 students, or browse our material by subject or title.
The Notgrasses
"I am a homeschooler graduating this June [2013]. Last year for history I did Exploring America with American Voices. I could not tell you how much I enjoyed these two books. I also enjoyed the literature books I read to go along with them. . . . History is one of my favorite subjects and using your books helped me learn so much more!" (Katherine H., Virginia)
"This past year I studied your curriculum, Exploring World History. I want to thank you for writing this curriculum because it taught me why it is important to study history, which is to learn about God's plan for the world. The Bible Study lessons and questions helped me grow in my relationship with Christ, as I pondered over what it means to be a Christian and how I can spread the gospel. Your curriculum has had a vast impact on my faith and view of history, so once again, thank you." (Lydia G., Alabama)
"Thank you for all that you do! All of your hard work has blessed many people. I wish I had been taught this way when I was younger. It is refreshing to have a subject being taught in a way my children can understand from a Biblical perspective!" (Greg and Helena G., North Carolina)
"Thank you so much for writing this curriculum. We home school 3 autistic children and finding a curriculum that was faith based but had more factual information and lessons is just awesome. Our kids were unhappy with their previous history curriculum, and we are so glad to find one that they enjoy." (Lynette D., Texas)
"Every day I hear, 'Mom, listen to this.' or 'Mom did you know...?' and so often the answer I give is 'I never knew that!' or 'Really, are you serious?' That is what the Notgrass History curriculum does for our whole family. We have used Notgrass America the Beautiful, Exploring America, Olympics, and TN State History. I do not even have to look at other curricula because I am so thrilled and satisfied with the content and layout of your books. History is not just our favorite subject, it is the first thing we do each day. It provides the framework for all other choices in our homeschool. The Christian Worldview and Bible application set history apart from any other subject. I feel like my children are getting the unabridged, true and accurate history that could never be taught in a public setting for fear of a revival and turning back to our original Godly principles. This is why homeschooling is so important, and the content of curriculum in a Christian home is not negotiable. We must teach the Word and the success and failures of our country through the lens of Christ. Thanks for making a product that points to Christ and is of the highest standard in quality and enjoyment for homeschooling families." (Christy J., Tennessee)
