Where is Home?

Words and Music by John Notgrass
Deuteronomy 28:50, Proverbs 27:8, James 1:27

He sits and gazes blankly through the front door at the world.
It's not locked, but he's still trapped inside.
Like countless other captives of convenience he's alone.
He wants to run, but there's no place to hide.

Chorus
Where's home? Where is family? What happened to the bond they share?
Where's love? Where is sympathy? The busy touch of strangers can't compare.
Tell me where, where is home?

TV shows and magazines can't keep her mind alert.
Food on plastic trays can't feed her heart.
Bingo nights can't measure up with memories of the past.
Who's there to stop the crying when it starts?

Bridge
I want to give an answer. I want to make a change.
I want to show the world in the darkness we can be a light.

Final Chorus Here's home! Here is family, a place to lay down all your fear.
Here's love. Here is sympathy. The tenderness you've needed now is here,
All right here. Here is home.
