Sodomy in High Places
(04-10-2001)

One of the many reasons I did not vote for Al Gore was because he accepted and seemed to promote sodomy as an innocent "alternative lifestyle". I didn't vote for George Bush either, but I thought at least on this point he differed slightly from Al Gore.

Well, President Bush has nominated Paul Cellucci, the Governor of Massachusetts, to represent the United States as ambassador to Canada. What's wrong with that, you ask? As governor, Cellucci has continued funding and tacit support for perversion in the Massachusetts school system and government. Many American and even Canadian groups oppose Cellucci's nomination, but despite this, "political expediency" will probably prevail in Washington, and the "spirit of tolerance" will probably silence many Senators who know better.

As if this were not enough, President Bush has appointed a sodomite to head the Office of National AIDS Policy. Is that not like appointing an alcoholic to oversee a liquor commission or a forger to handle a bank's security procedures? What does Bush hope to accomplish with this office? Why is our Federal Government spending money like this?

You can read in the Bible about what happened to people long ago who gave themselves over to perversion. The United States of America are not immune to God's judgment. If we continue to feed on a diet of immorality and unrighteousness, we should not be surprised at the results. Bringing sodomy to prominence in high places may placate vocal activists, but it does nothing to advance the righteousness that exalts a nation. Please reconsider, Mr. Bush.
