  • What God Joins Together
A survey of Biblical teaching on preparing for marriage and finding a wife with lessons I've learned from others and the plans I've developed for myself.

  • Being Pro-Life
A survey of the history of abortion, what the Bible says about it, and how God's people can promote life.

  • So You Want to Be a Millionaire?
My observations on wealth, work, and worry, and how we as disciples can conduct ourselves in this generation.

  • My Father's God
The importance of honoring your father and mother and building households of multi-generational faithfulness.

Recollections of a Confederate Soldier

Presented by John Notgrass

Sam Watkins, from Maury County, Tennessee, was 21 years old when the War Between the States came in 1861. He marched and camped and fought with Company H of the First Tennessee Regiment from the beginning until the end of the war.

In 1881-82, Sam’s memoirs of the war were printed in the Columbia Herald newspaper. They were published in the book Co. Aytch. His account of that stormy period in American history is full of humor, friendship, sacrifice, and faith.

John Notgrass steps into costume and character to share Sam's stories about that "unpleasant misconception of there being such a thing as a north and south." This first-person presentation allows you to look at the past in a new way. It helps you understand that stormy time, see the tragic consequences of war, and appreciate the faith of our fathers.
